The Pavilion at Stable View
Stable View is a top-notch equestrian training facility located in Aiken. With lots of opportunities for equestrian-centered events and ideals, the facility offers a comprehensive training center alongside a fantastic event venue for a unique package not found in many places. Gain a new perspective at events through a volunteer position at some of the horse trials and other exciting venue happenings. Gallop and Derby Field are recent additions that attract folks, but this year Stable View adds another amenity–The Pavilion.
The Pavilion at Stable View is brand new for 2019 and is a LEED Gold Certified multi-purpose pavilion that is available for events at the 1,000-acre equestrian training facility. The Pavilion seats up to 200 folks and with state-of-the-art, tech savvy equipment such as video recording and conferencing, audio and the like, the facility can handle conferences, weddings, family reunions or corporate retreats. There is also a kitchen and a pub, as well as on-site lodging and RV hookups.
Pedego Electric Bikes–Aiken
Shopping for a trendy, electric bike sends many people scrambling to find a store like Pedego Aiken. It’s a place where experts are passionate about electric bikes and they help connect enthusiasts with the perfect bike for them. But, did you know that Pedego also offers rentals that visitors find as enjoyable as locals?
Electric bikes are one of the best ways to experience a place like Aiken. Trails are safe and stunningly beautiful. It’s a fantastic way to connect with the “nature” side of Aiken and leave with fond memories of a lovely trip. Locks and helmets are included with every rental and there is a minimum rider age of 16-years-old.
Augusta GreenJackets Baseball
The GreenJackets Minor League Baseball team is a Class A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants playing at SRP Park in North Augusta. The team opens the season on April 15, 2019, at SRP Park, voted best minor league ball park in 2018. Tickets are on sale now and be sure to check out the fun Jr. Jackets Kids Club for added excitement and for getting the kiddos involved.
Don’t forget to check the SRP Park schedule as they host events other than baseball, as well. There are concerts (Hootie & the Blowfish anyone?), MMA fights, a craft beer festival and so much more! Enjoy a great event at SRP Park and you’ll be back for more.
Aiken Polo Club at Historic Whitney Field
When traveling to the area to see what all is new for 2019, don’t forget about classic staples like polo with a long playing season and many free tournaments that are open to the public. Regular Sunday games are favorites for both locals and visitors and are held on historic Whitney Field.
Since 1882, Polo has been played on Whitney Field. Come bring the family and enjoy spring season matches from April to mid-June or fall season from September to mid-November. It’s family-friendly and not to be missed when in Aiken. This year think outside of your typical route and take a road trip through Thoroughbred Country.
